Laughter is Essential...October 27, 2021

Laughter is essential. A must, not a luxury.

A couple days ago I wanted to show Evan my progress with my new leg. As I wobbled around, I exclaimed to him that I had done better at the prosthetic clinic. We began to laugh, as my foot dragged and my stick straight leg weighed a million pounds.

Anyone who knows me well understands what happened next. I suggested to Evan that I try walking up the stairs. Like really? If something basic isn't working why not try something more advanced?!?

Yes, why not?

So I started up the stairs, and quickly plopped on my bum...laughing hard. Suddenly saying...I forgot that my leg has to be CHARGED, Evan!!!!! The idea that I had forgotten to charge my leg brought more hysterical laughter and suddenly my body and life felt oh so good.

Today I was elated to learn that there is a handy phone app to track my leg's battery charge and other fun stuff like steps walked for the day. But I mostly feel just really blessed to have such a fancy robot leg.
